Generations Custom Homes is a custom home builder in Bangor, Maine and the towns around it. We build new homes, remodel kitchens and baths, add rooms and decks, and work on lakefront properties in Bangor, Brewer, Hampden, Orrington and inland lake communities. Greater Bangor is about 40 minutes from our Ellsworth shop. Our custom homes and major remodels are booked through winter and into next year, so an early call helps. We will tell you plainly up front if timing is tight.

Lake properties have their own needs. Shorelines have rules, sites can be sloped or wooded, and a camp being turned into a year-round home needs insulation, heat and a sound foundation. We serve the lakes across these areas and we handle the permitting. Our Sunset Cove post and beam cabin and our Bayside Cabin show the kind of cabin and retreat work we do.

Camps into year-round homes

We take on camp conversions. We look at the structure, insulation and heating first, then plan the work around your budget and how you want to use the place.

Site work and equipment

Building on a wooded or sloped lot often starts with clearing, grading and utility digging. We do that with our own earthworks crew. We also rent equipment such as excavators and lifts, and we deliver to the Bangor area.
