1. Sponsor
The sponsor of this Sweepstakes is Generations Custom Homes (“Sponsor”). Sponsor is a custom home builder in Coastal Maine.
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
Employees, owners, officers, directors, and immediate family members of Sponsor, as well as any person living in the same household as such individuals, are not eligible to enter or win. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet these requirements.
3. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins on 05/15/2026 at 8AM and ends on 05/17/2026 at 3PM (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
During the Entry Period, eligible individuals may enter by completing the official entry form at the Home Show booth or through the official online entry page designated by Sponsor. No purchase, payment, quote request, or contract execution is required to enter.
Limit one (1) entry per person and one (1) entry per household during the Entry Period, unless Sponsor expressly states otherwise in writing. Any attempt to submit multiple entries using different identities, email addresses, or other methods may result in disqualification.
Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, false, or late entries are void. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, misdirected, delayed, garbled, incomplete, or improperly recorded entries, or for technical, human, or transmission errors that may affect entry processing.
5. Prize
One (1) winner will receive one custom home concept design package from Generations Custom Homes with an approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $5,000. Prize values and ARVs are commonly stated in official sweepstakes rules and should control over any inconsistent promotional references.
The prize includes:
-
Up to 50 hours of concept design work.
-
Direct collaboration with Sponsor’s designer.
-
Up to three (3) revisions.
-
Final copies of floor plans, exterior elevations, and rendered views.
The prize is limited to concept design services only. The prize does not include engineering, stamped plans, construction documents, permit drawings, site plans, surveys, interior purchasing, estimating, construction services, project scheduling, municipal approvals, or any other service not expressly listed above.
Any services requested beyond the included scope may be declined or billed separately at Sponsor’s then-current rates, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prize details not specifically set forth in these Official Rules are determined solely by Sponsor.
The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be redeemed for cash or substituted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
6. Odds
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period.
7. Winner Selection
The potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor or its designated representative, and Sponsor’s decisions regarding the administration of the Sweepstakes and selection of the winner are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes.
The drawing will take place on or about 05/18/2026. Sponsor may delay the drawing if necessary because of operational, technical, or administrative reasons.
8. Winner Notification
The potential winner will be notified by phone and/or email using the contact information provided at entry within 5 business days after the drawing. Sponsor is not responsible for failed attempts to notify a potential winner because of spam filters, incorrect contact information, full voicemail boxes, or other delivery issues outside Sponsor’s control.
If a potential winner does not respond within 5 business days, is found to be ineligible, refuses the prize, fails to complete the requested documents, or otherwise does not comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner may be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be selected in a new random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
9. Winner Verification and Release
As a condition of being confirmed as the official winner, the potential winner may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, publicity release, tax documentation, and any other documents Sponsor reasonably requires, where permitted by law. Failure to sign and return required documents within the timeframe specified by Sponsor may result in disqualification.
10. Publicity and Design Rights
By accepting the prize, the winner grants Sponsor the irrevocable right, except where prohibited by law, to use the winner’s name, city, likeness, statements, and project-related information for advertising, promotion, and publicity purposes without further compensation. Publicity release language is standard in official rules and is often tied to final winner confirmation.
By accepting the prize, the winner further acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor shall have the right to photograph, publish, display, reproduce, adapt, promote, and otherwise use the resulting concept design, renderings, floor plans, elevations, and related materials for marketing, advertising, website, social media, portfolio, and promotional purposes without additional compensation. The winner receives the design deliverables for personal reference and planning use, but Sponsor retains all rights necessary to use, publish, and promote the work for its business purposes.
11. Conditions and Limitations
The prize is for concept development and visualization only and does not guarantee project acceptance, construction pricing, scheduling availability, permitting approval, financing, or future build services. Sponsor reserves the right to determine whether any proposed project, lot, or design request is suitable for its services, geographic service area, timeline, and business model.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, acts in violation of these Official Rules, provides false information, or acts in an unsportsmanlike, disruptive, abusive, deceptive, or unlawful manner. Sponsor also reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, force majeure events, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
12. Taxes
The winner is solely responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes, fees, or other costs associated with acceptance or use of the prize. Sponsor may require the winner to submit a completed IRS Form W-9 or other tax documentation before awarding the prize if required by applicable law.
13. Release of Liability
By entering, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any claim, liability, injury, loss, or damage arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any prize, except where prohibited by law. Liability and publicity release provisions are standard components of official rules templates.
14. Privacy
Information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be used by Sponsor for the administration of the Sweepstakes, winner notification, and business follow-up consistent with Sponsor’s applicable privacy practices and these Official Rules. By entering, entrants agree that Sponsor may contact them regarding the Sweepstakes and related services.
15. Disputes and Governing Law
Except where prohibited, entrants agree that any disputes, claims, or causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction selected by Sponsor. These Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
